Prior to joining Carefx, Mr. Hurd served as Sr. Vice President, Sales and Marketing of the Practice Services Division of WebMD Corp (HLTH). Before his tenure with WebMD, he was President, Health Information Management at QuadraMed Corporation (QMDC). Mr. Hurd brings nearly 20 years of healthcare and healthcare IT management experience to Carefx along with a stellar track record in aggressive top and bottom line growth, organizational transformation and operational efficiencies.
Robert (Bob) Armknecht has 17 years of financial management experience, with over 10 years in the health sciences industry. As Controller for the Scottsdale based SCINET Inc, Mr. Armknecht managed the financial activities of a Health Care Services organization that quadrupled in size over a 3 year period, culminating its acquisition by a public company. As a division controller at Medical Manager Health Systems, and WebMD, Mr. Armknecht managed the financial activities of several separate business groups, and filled various financial analysis and accounting rolls supporting Mergers and Acquisitions at WebMD Practice Services. Immediately prior to joining Carefx, Mr. Armknecht served as the VP of Finance for The Molecular Profiling Institute, Inc. a diagnostic reference lab located in Phoenix AZ, dedicated to the rollout of medical testing based on the discoveries of the Translational Genomics Institute.
Mr. Armknecht received his B.A. from Occidental College in Economics and Political Science, and his Masters of Science in Industrial Administration from Carnegie Mellon University. He is a member of the Institute of Management Accountants, Phoenix Chapter.
Prior to joining Carefx, Mr. Briggs was responsible for new market development at NaviMedix. He previously served as President of QuadraMed's (QMDC) MPI Solutions Division and was founder and CEO of LinkSoft Technologies which was acquired by QMDC. Mr. Briggs has established an excellent track record of building and transforming healthcare and technology teams into market-driven leaders. Mr. Briggs received undergraduate and graduate degrees in Theoretical Physics from Dartmouth College.
With more than 15 years of software sales ,sales management and operations experience in the healthcare information technology industry, Randy Hamamoto, has a passion for delivering technology solutions that support improved clinical decision-making at the point of care. Prior to joining Carefx, Randy served as the Vice President of Sales for the Western Region of Sage Software Healthcare Division. At Carefx, Randy leads the effort of expanding the Carefx footprint in the marketplace.
As founder and Chief Software Architect for Carefx, Mr. Diaz is responsible for oversight of the technical strategy and product architecture for the company’s flagship offering, Fusion, the industry’s only open and scaleable patient information aggregation platform. Prior to Carefx, Mr. Diaz led sales and marketing efforts for Emtek (a Motorola company he founded), Eclipsys, Medspecialists and cMore Medical Solutions
With more than 20 years of technology, software engineering management and business experience, Dr. Zhang has worked with organizations ranging from start ups to some of the world's best known technology companies. His credentials include leadership of highly successful large scale development projects for QuadraMed, Siemens, ABB and GTE/Verizon. Dr. Zhang earned his Bachelor of Science degree in China at age 19 and then a Master of Science in Computer Engineering and a Ph.D. from the University of Arkansas.
Ms. Ferretti has more than 15 years of integrated marketing experience in the healthcare technology space, with a concentration on corporate positioning and brand development. A strong background in strategic planning, product marketing, and marketing communications, Ms. Ferretti has developed groundbreaking integrated marketing programs for leading healthcare technology companies, including Clinicom, Quadramed, Lumedx, Sunquest/Misys, and Concuity. At Carefx, Ms. Ferretti is directing the company's brand re-launch and is responsible for all marketing, PR and interactive initiatives of the company.
Dr. Li brings nearly 15 years of healthcare informatics and clinical practice management experience to Carefx, including significant expertise in informatics design, electronic health record (EHR) development and adoption to support quality improvement and patient safety. As vice president of Clinical Strategies for Carefx, Dr. Li is evolving the company’s clinical workflow offerings and bridging the gap between evidence based medicine and information technology for the providers in healthcare organizations. Prior to joining Carefx, Dr. Li led the internal development of the Longitudinal Medical Record (LMR) at Partners Healthcare, resulting in enterprise adoption by 5,000-plus physician users at all primary care and specialty clinics. Dr. Li also held product management and strategy positions with PatientKeeper, Inc., and McKesson’s Medical Management Group.
Prior to Carefx Mr. Ward served more than eight years in a variety of senior management positions at the Practice Services Division of WebMD (HLTH), including Vice President of Business Development and Vice President of Sales. Before WebMD, he spent five years as Vice President of Sales, Marketing, and Business Development at Companion Technologies, a wholly owned subsidiary of Blue Cross Blue Shield of South Carolina. Mr. Ward began his career at IBM and spent ten years there in various sales and sales management positions.
